Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices and rights you have — with a focus on U.S. privacy laws.

ℹ️

This Privacy Policy applies to Callent's website and AI voice-calling services. By using Callent, you agree to the practices described here. Where we act as a service provider/processor for a business customer, that customer's own privacy policy also governs the handling of caller data.

01 Scope & who we are

Callent ("Callent," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-based voice-calling platform that answers, routes, and handles phone calls on behalf of businesses in the United States. This policy describes how we process personal information when you visit our website, create an account, or interact with calls handled by our platform.

We process personal information in two roles: (1) as a business/controller for our website visitors and account holders, and (2) as a service provider/processor for the businesses that use Callent to handle their callers.

02 Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Account & contact data — name, business email, company, phone number, and billing details when you sign up or request a demo.
  • Caller data — phone numbers, call audio, transcripts, and information shared during a call (such as appointment details or order numbers) when our agents handle calls for a customer.
  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar analytics collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies.
  • Payment data — processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.

03 Calls & voice data

Callent records and transcribes calls to provide the service, generate summaries, and improve quality. Call recording laws vary by state — several U.S. states (including California, Florida, and Pennsylvania) require all-party consent. Our business customers are responsible for providing any required call-recording disclosures and obtaining consent from their callers.

We do not use the content of customer call recordings to train third-party foundation models, and we do not sell call audio or transcripts.

04 How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and secure the Callent platform and answer calls on your behalf.
  • To process appointments, qualify leads, and complete the tasks you configure your agent to perform.
  • To bill you, provide support, and send service-related communications.
  • To analyze usage and improve our products, features, and accuracy.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

05 How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the service:

  • Service providers — cloud hosting, telephony carriers, speech and language AI providers, analytics, and payment processors, all bound by contract.
  • Business customers — call data is shared with the customer on whose behalf the call was handled.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

06 Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Call recordings and transcripts are retained according to your configured settings or our default retention period, after which they are deleted or de-identified. We may retain certain information longer where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

07 Your U.S. privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others), you may have the right to:

  • Access / Know — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete — request deletion of your personal information.
  • Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out — opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of certain profiling.
  • Non-discrimination — exercise these rights without receiving discriminatory treatment.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@callent.online. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

08 Do not sell or share my personal information

Callent does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required. If our practices change, we will update this section and provide a clear opt-out mechanism.

09 Security

We protect personal information with encryption in transit and at rest, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring. Learn more on our Security page. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your data.

10 Children's privacy

Callent is a business tool not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Callent after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
